For 38 years now, marinas and beaches around the world have been awarded the Blue Flag. This certification is granted by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE), an international non-governmental organization. In Germany, the program is coordinated by the German Society for Environmental Education.

The Blue Flag is the first international environmental label for marinas and bathing waters along coasts as well as in inland regions. The award has been presented in Europe since 1987 and is valid for one year.

In 2025, more than 5,100 Blue Flags are flying at beaches and marinas in 51 countries worldwide. In Germany, 87 marinas and 36 bathing sites received the award this year.

Our club is also among the honored facilities. We successfully applied for the award and received the Blue Flag for the 29th time.

The members of our club were delighted when we received the positive decision from the national and international jury regarding our application for the Blue Flag 2025. Once again, we were able to meet the strict criteria in the areas of environmental management, environmental education, waste and wastewater management, as well as the required sanitary and safety standards.
